About Semple Family Museum of Native American Art
Semple Family Museum of Native American Art is a free museum on the Southeastern Oklahoma State University campus in Durant dedicated to the beauty, preservation and study of Native American art. The museum serves as the permanent home of Southeastern's extensive Native American art collection, currently encompassing more than 150 works representing more than 80 Native American artists and more than 30 tribes. Opened in 2021, the multi-level museum also hosts cultural programming, artist recognition events, receptions, educational activities and special university events.
