The Little Sit Sunrise Bird Count

Join the Friends of Hagerman Bird Census Team for The Little Sit, a sunrise bird count at H Pad inside Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge. Modeled after Cornell's Big Sit, the event gives participants a chance to watch birds move to the water and surrounding habitat to feed while experienced birders provide spotting scopes and identification tips. The event is come-and-go, and participants are encouraged to bring a chair, binoculars and water. Optional registration is available so organizers can notify participants of unexpected changes.
