About Wynne Chapel

Wynne Chapel is a prominent worship, music and special-event venue on the Austin College campus in Sherman. Completed in 1958, the 13,208-square-foot chapel includes the Clifford J. Grum Sanctuary, which seats 600 people on the main level plus 120 in the balcony, as well as the smaller Sallie Majors Chapel, choir rooms, offices, a conference room and a prayer room. The renovated main sanctuary features modern projection, lighting and sound systems while preserving distinctive musical features including an Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ and a 24-bell carillon. Wynne Chapel hosts Austin College worship services, concerts, ceremonies and other campus programs and is also available by reservation for weddings, memorial services and celebrations of life.
