About Thomas R. Williams Intramural Complex
Thomas R. Williams Intramural Complex is Austin College's large outdoor intramural and recreation facility in Sherman. The 138,000-square-foot complex accommodates lacrosse, soccer, flag football, softball and ultimate Frisbee competition and also includes two outdoor basketball courts. All playing fields and basketball courts have lighting available for night play. The landscaped complex includes fencing, brick columns, a hedge row, 54 maple trees, and an entry plaza with a lighted walkway and benches. The facility was named by the Austin College Board of Trustees in memory of Thomas R. Williams, father of alumnus Todd Williams, Class of 1982, recognizing the generosity of Todd and Abby Williams to the College.
