Skydive Spaceland Dallas is a full-service skydiving center near Whitewright offering tandem first jumps, solo skydiver training and facilities for experienced licensed skydivers. First-time guests can make a tandem jump harnessed to an instructor after a brief training session, with freefall speeds around 120 mph and jumps generally made from up to about 14,000 feet. The facility includes a climate-controlled building, covered spectator area, showers, laundry facilities, gear storage, vending, an RV park, bunkhouse accommodations and food service. Reservations are strongly recommended, particularly for first-time tandem jumps, although walk-ins may be accommodated when space and weather allow. Skydiving is weather-dependent and visitors should plan enough time for operational delays rather than treating the reservation time as a guaranteed jump time. Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Saturday-Sunday 7:30 AM-sunset.
