About Sid Richardson Center

Sid Richardson Center is a multipurpose recreation, athletics and special-event facility inside Austin College's Robert T. Mason Athletic-Recreation Complex in Sherman. Built in 1971 along with Hannah Natatorium, the center includes Gene Day Court and serves both Austin College recreation and athletics programs and larger campus and community gatherings. Its flexible floor has supported collegiate volleyball competition, service projects, community programs, ceremonies and concerts, including the Sherman Symphony Orchestra's annual Christmas Pops performances. Austin College also makes the facility available by request to outside organizations, subject to availability, approval and rental fees.
