Sacred Heart Catholic Church is the historic German-Catholic parish at the heart of Muenster's story. The parish traces its beginnings to the first Catholic Mass celebrated in Muenster on December 8, 1889, the date also recognized as the town's founding. The present church building, completed in 1954, continues a parish tradition dating to the community's earliest days.
