About Perrin Air Force Base Historical Museum
Perrin Air Force Base Historical Museum is an aviation and military-history museum located on the grounds of the former Perrin Field near Denison. Operated by the Perrin Field Historical Society, the museum preserves the history of Perrin Army Airfield and Perrin Air Force Base, which served the Sherman-Denison area as a major military flight-training installation from 1941 until 1971. Exhibits include historic aircraft, engines, uniforms, photographs, documents and military memorabilia, with displays covering Perrin Field, World War II, the Cold War and the broader history of American military aviation.
