About Huck's Catfish
Huck's Catfish is a longtime Texoma seafood restaurant known for Mississippi Delta-style catfish, Southern sides and a relaxed family-restaurant atmosphere. Huck's originated in Pottsboro in the early 1990s under founder John Payne before relocating to Denison in 1994. The restaurant serves fried, grilled and blackened catfish along with other seafood, shrimp, stuffed crab and additional American and Southern dishes. Meals are closely associated with Huck's signature hush puppies and green tomato relish, along with traditional sides such as pinto beans, coleslaw, fried okra and potatoes. The business was later sold, and longtime employee Carol Ramsey is the current owner, continuing a restaurant tradition that predates the Denison location.
