Hickory House BBQ is a longtime family-owned Denison barbecue restaurant serving Texas-style pit barbecue just north of Main Street in downtown Denison. The Doyle family has owned and operated Hickory House since 1975, serving smoked meats, barbecue plates, sandwiches and classic sides. Shawn's Soda Shop is located within Hickory House and adds bottled sodas, nostalgic candy and an old-fashioned soda-shop element to the experience.
