About Frank Buck Zoo
Frank Buck Zoo is a City of Gainesville wildlife attraction offering families and visitors an affordable opportunity to see animals from around the world, participate in scheduled animal encounters and learn about wildlife and conservation. Current experiences include giraffe feeding and reservation-based flamingo and capybara encounters, while the zoo's animal collection includes species such as giraffes, capybaras, ring-tailed lemurs, red ruffed lemurs, Asian small-clawed otters, Patagonian cavies and other mammals, birds and reptiles. The zoo also features the world's only Frank Buck exhibit honoring Gainesville native and internationally known animal collector, author and adventurer Frank Buck.

Current dedicated Zoo Hours & Admission page lists summer hours of 9:00 AM-3:30 PM daily with last entry and ticket sales at 2:30 PM. Another current City zoo page says last tickets are sold at 3:00 PM, and the generic facilities page displays a 3:00 PM closing time. TWG follows the dedicated current admission page and recommends arriving before 2:30 PM. The zoo is normally closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
