About Dixon Durant Park (Rocket Park)

Dixon Durant Park, widely known as Rocket Park, is a six-acre City of Durant neighborhood park on North 10th Avenue. The park combines a recently renewed rocket-themed playground with six lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, a quarter-mile walking and jogging track, picnic and pavilion space, grills, benches, paved parking and ADA-accessible restrooms. The park reopened in September 2024 after the City of Durant installed new play structures and a safer playground surface while intentionally preserving the rocket theme that generations of local families associate with the property.
