About Clyde L. Hall Graduation Court
Clyde L. Hall Graduation Court is a landscaped outdoor gathering and ceremonial space on the Austin College campus in Sherman. Located just north of Caruth Administration Building, the court is marked by brickwork and landscaping and serves as the traditional setting for Austin College Commencement each May. Created in 2007, the space honors Clyde L. Hall, a 1946 Austin College graduate and longtime faculty member whose former students supported naming the area in his honor. In addition to Commencement, the court is used for other significant Austin College ceremonies and campus gatherings, including Physician Assistant white coat ceremonies.
