About Bonham State Park
Bonham State Park is a 261-acre Texas state park southeast of Bonham built around a scenic 65-acre lake, wooded hills and historic Civilian Conservation Corps structures. Visitors can hike or bike 8.75 miles of trails, fish from the bank or pier, swim, paddle, geocache, watch wildlife, camp along the lake or attend ranger-led nature and history programs. The park rents kayaks, canoes and paddle boats when weather permits and offers campsites ranging from full hookups to tent sites with electricity. Group camping and a reservable lakeside pavilion make the park useful for reunions, retreats and organized outings as well as casual day trips.

The park is currently open daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Current headquarters/office hours are 8:15 AM-4:45 PM. The park frequently reaches capacity, so TPWD strongly recommends reserving both day-use passes and campsites in advance.
