About Jerry E. Apple Stadium

Jerry E. Apple Stadium is Austin College's outdoor football and athletics stadium in Sherman. Dedicated during Homecoming 2000, the 2,500-seat facility is home to Kangaroo football and includes Robert M. & Joyce Johnson Field, Willie Jacobs Press Box, Johnston Observation Deck and the Rossi W. Felix Scoreboard. A major enhancement project added an artificial-turf field, stadium lighting, a fitness track and updated visitor stands, expanding the facility's usefulness for football, recreation and other athletic activities. Football game days also extend into Larry Kramer Outback beyond the south end of the field, where Austin College alumni, families and fans gather for tailgating.
